ONE DAY WE WILL RULE THE WORLD

itong past month that i’ve been travelling, i find myself turning into a news junkie even more. spending all this time in hotel rooms, the only game in town is watching tv or reading or working on my pc. if its tv, kadalasan BBC or CNN. i’ve been watching too much news that i’m starting to develop opinions about the newscasters themselves. mayron na akong “my favorite accent” at saka “o shit it’s him again” o kaya “tanginang badhair day hairdo mo sister”. kaya lang itong past two days, medyo nakakadiri ang balita. every 5 minutes they show pictures of 2 dead bodies in every angle imaginable. it’s like watching “night of the living dead”. kulang na lang, ipakita ang mga bituka at ngala-ngala eh.

speaking of dead bodies, there was a documentary last year about “strange jobs in singapore” and they featured funeral parlor workers. may interview sa imbalsamador at kinwento niya yung ginagawa niya sa mga katawan at pinakita niya yung mga tools na ginagamit niya sa pagtanggal ng mga lamang loob. nung interview niya eh naka barong tagalog siya at may cebuano accent. siyempre pinoy. proudly pinoy. sunod namang kinausap ay yung make-up artist. bading siya mama (accent on the 2nd ma) at pinoy din. dati raw siyang gumugupit ng buhok sa maynila, kaya lang nalugi at nagsara ang parlor kaya nagsapalaran na lang daw siya abroad at ang nakuha niyang trabaho ay make-up artist ng funenaria sa singapore.

kahit saan talaga mayroon kabayan. dito sa hotel ko sa shanghai, yung house band ay pinoy. lahat na lang ng sulok ng mundo mayroong pilipino – from the mundane to the really sensitive (like feeding this guy named “dubya”). i tell you, one day, we will rule the world. we hold the world’s collective betlog in our hands. one day, i swear to god… one day, babayagan natin ang mga bwakananginang umaapi sa atin and WE WILL RULE! bwahahahaha (tawang demonyo)!!!
