2. right after the hilarious basketball game, dinner time: nagpatawa si moc ramirez (the late great) habang kumakain ay bigla siyang sumigaw ng malakas: “ALA EH, ANG KANIN AY MALATA-EH!”

  1. I have not been to the Lauan Study Center, nor am I a member of the Opus Dei, but I believe that the Picture of the Lauan Study center created here is generally flawed and is therefore unjust. Juxtaposing the term “Lauan” and “kabastusan” generally creates an impression of dragging the name of the center into obscenity.
I believe that there is nothing wrong if the spiritual director asks the person going to the spiritual direction if he is masturbating or not. I do not want to sound preachy, but I believe that he/she (i.e. the spiritual director) only wants to help the person going to spiritual direction, and therefore it is necessary for him to know the person completely, so as to give the necessary advice, and solve what needs to be solved. It is then unnecessary and even unjust to relate such a thing to “kabastusan”. I cannot see any obscenity with the way the spiritual director asked the question.
Don’t get me wrong here, I do not in any way want to attack the writer per se. I do not know him, and I am not in a position to judge him. What I am trying to say here is that the name of an institution should never in a way be dragged into a thing which it never identifies itself with, much more into the very thing which it avoids and even despises
