    speaking of calamares, sa Pinas inilalako na rin sa bangketa ito (piniritong fresh pusit )katabi ng kwek-kwek , balut at penoy. best seller ngayon ito sa mga bangketa at amuy na amoy sa bawat kanto at talipapa.

  3. ang sarap…you and your food posts…. tuloy, gusto kong kumain nang inihaw na bangus with tomatoes, onions, garlic and ginger…with the same suka at sili sawsawan!

  4. masarap talaga ito dahil fresh yung pusit. kakahuli lang ito ng kaopisina ko at binigyan ako ng isang piraso. medyo may kalakihan ang pusit dito sa california kaya masarap kainin.

    i love the suka-toyo sawsawan for the pusit. tapos i put a drop or two of hot sauce para may kaunting kick.

  5. Hello Jay! Just taking a break from my thankless job…penge ng alimasag na sinawsaw sa maanghang na suka! Nakakalaway talaga! Just take it easy on the shellfish, dahil sa cholesterol (alas, what we like isn’t always good in large amounts).

    Speaking of pusit…if you haven’t been to Curry House (it’s a Japanese restaurant na puro curry at pasta ang nasa menu; there’s one near the corner of Knott Ave. and Katella Ave.), try the spaghetti with cod roe and squid. Kakaiba, but it’s mah-velous….

    Ok, back to brass tacks…

  6. hey classmate daisy. i love japanese curry. na addict ako rito nung unang trip ko sa tokyo, dinala ako ng kasama ko sa isang curry restaurant. winter nung time na yon at ang sarap ng curry pag malamig ang panahon.

    ever since, hinahanap-hanap ko na siya.

    speaking of good cholesterol, i just got my lab results the other day. ang cholesterol ko ay 200 (normal is <200)

    HDL ie, good cholesterol ko ay 49.00 (normal is >40)
    LDL ie, bad cholesterol ko ay 114.00 (normal is <140)

    not bad for a diabetic man over 40

  8. ahh for the first time di ako affected ng food post mo… Hubby cooked 2 lobsters two weeks ago… the week before we had crabs too… yummy… pero tama ka, for the first time in my life sumakit ang batok ko…

  9. i do that too: cram by eating healty and working out more a week or so before the exam. kaya lang makikita rin if you don’t take care of yourself. sana maganda rin ang result ninyo. ingat at kamusta kay don manuel!

    2 lobsters. wow. i haven’t eaten lobsters in a while pero parating mag crabs and shrimps si jet.
