At home drawing pictures of mountain tops

santiago canyon – the site of the orange county california wild fires last year. this is actually fire central and you can still see burnt trees all over the place. tinakbo ko ito ngayon. it’s a tough climb from saddleback church and back but i did it anyway.

i’m sore but i feel good.

Buti at patuloy pa rin ang pagtakbo mo. Last Saturday, tumakbo kami ng 8 miles. This Saturday will be 10, our first double-digit miler! Hindi pa ko nakakatakbo ngayon as part of my midweek run. I have to do a 45-minute run today and 40 minutes on Thursday.

Dumating na ang fuel belt ko (www.fuelbelt.com). Ite-testing ko sya mamaya. Meron ka na bang fuel belt?

meron. single lang. bibili ako ng multiple for my next month’s run – itataas ko na ng 16-18 miles sa april. then i’ll do a couple of 20′s in may.

nag testing ako ng uphill running sa santiago canyon last sunday. ok lang – at least alam ko na kaya ko na sa akyatan.

good luck sa 10 miles. i find it easy to do 10 – but the 12 and 14 are challenging. being lot’s of fluid and energy packs.

Cool! I think our schedule only calls out for one 20-mile run (from Yorba Linda to Huntington Beach), then we’ll taper to 10 miles, then 8, and then the whole 26.2 miles on race day!

As for our hill training, we did it on our 6-mile run. Sabi ng coach Dave, he’ll surprise us daw when our next hill run will be….. shiyet!

I’ll start experimenting on gels and sport beans. Ano-ano na ang mga nagamit mo to replenish?

gatorade low cal drink, mango flavored gel at pina colada shot bloks – yan ang parating dala ko pag tumatakbo

Thanks! Okay din sa ‘kin ang Gatorade. Susubukan ko rin ang sportbeans and gels….

It looks like ur doing well in ur training. Keep it up and hope to meet you on race day!
