EMPTY LAKE, EMPTY STREETS, THE SUN GOES DOWN ALONE

LAST DAY IN KIWILAND uuwi na kami mamayang hapon. last day na namin at medyo nagsesenti ako. tinatanong sa akin ni jet kahapon kung malungkot ako’t aalis na kami. sabi ko – oo, medyo malungkot dahil napamahal na sa akin ang lugar na ito. malungkot dahil matagal ulit bago makita ang mga naiwang kaibigan. malungkot dahil marumi nang lahat ang underwear ko. sayang, kung pwede lang sanang magtagal pa. di bale kiwiland, nakamarka ka na sa akin at babalikan ka naming ulit. i’ve enjoyed this wonderful land – with it’s wide open spaces and it’s great people. walang pretense at napaka welcoming. kahit nahirapan kaming kumuha ng visa at kung ano ano pang mga requirements ang hinanap sa amin bago kami na approve. sulit lahat ng ito.

would you believe i was given a working visa just so i can facilitate this conference? hehehe… working visa for one week. kaya ganoon na lang ang security clearance na ginawa sa akin. pero sabi ko nga, sulit lahat ito. i love new zealand and will come back again.

  1. welkam bak batjay! sa wakas, nakakapag-comment na rin ako hehehe! i enjoyed all your pictures, sulit na sulit ang bakasyon nyo. “walang pretense at napaka-welcoming.” — i couldn’t agree more, ganyan din mga tao dito, parang nature na talaga nila 🙂

  2. NINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!

miss ka na rin namin. sinilip ko nga ang site mo kagabi – ang dami mo nang mga entries na bago ang aking babasahin mamaya. hehehe… pag di ako nahuli ng boss ko sa opis.

    ngyahahaha!

  3. hehey BongK.

kamusta na. i am glad to be back… salamat sa testing. talaga lang atang nagloko ang MT-Blacklist ko sa Auckland.

everything seems to be ok. just a few minor additions later and it should be back to normal. but as far as the commenting is concerned – it is already OK.

    cheers!

  4. Welcome back to Sing Batjay!

  5. hi christine!

ang galing galing mo talaga. thanks very much for being the first pinoy to call us in auckland. pati ako nagulat – i was on my way out when you called to be with a customer and was startled when the phone rang and it was YOU! hehehe…. what a great sound of a pinay on the other line. next time – pupunta kaming christchurch to visit you. it’s not that far from wellington.

i loved new zealand and wouldn’t mind living there forever.

  8. back to the dumps where i belong? ngyahaha. di naman siguro but it almost feels like it though dahil i am swamped with work, phone calls, meetings and 600 emails.

sabi nga doon sa theme song ng pelikulang love story: “where do i begin…”

  9. hush papa jay…

marami pa kayong lugar na pupuntahan…. travellers kayo kumbaga… life’s way of making sure that there are some people who will convince otehr people that the world is a beautiful place… and it has a lot of promises

(aftershock ng Ms. Earth beauty pageant!)

  10. i envy you guys for being able to travel all the way there. *sigh* Soon i’ll find my way there, only sa taas ng NZ. hehehe! hopefully, i will get to meet miss kiwi too. hehehe! :-p

hope to see you guys this Christmas.. miss both of you! 🙂

  11. tanya loka!

miss ka na rin namin ni jet. i hope you’re doing ok. alam mo na film maker’s haven ang NZ ngayon – are you moving there? that would be good for your career if you do.

dahil sa success ng LOTR fanchise at yung mga earlier films nina jane campion at yung shoot ni tom cruise, NZ is really on a lot of film maker’s maps.

the country itself is great and i’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

  12. hi manong jay! ako back in da pilipines.

sayang di tayo nagkita sa singapore. nag-enjoy kami dun kaya lang inulan ako nung nagpunta ako sa sentosa. pero okay rin lang. nakakatuwa kasi ang hirap mawala dun. after my first day there i tried to get lost. to no avail. 🙂

ang sarap naman ng bakasyon niyo ni jet! hi jet!

sana kita kits tayo pag uwi niyo this december. 🙂

  13. g’day MissT-DutchedPinay.

yup, you’re correct. the title is from don henly’s the boys of summer. congratulations for being the first one to point this out. most of the titles of my blog are from songs, poems or movie lines and such. people who read my blog seldom pay attention to this, but the one’s who do like you, tito rolly, sassy lawyer, mark of clickmongmukhamo, doc emer and my wife jet are really cool people.

    thank you very much.
